Kaushalya Fernando
Kaushalya is an award-winning Sri Lankan actress, director and an academic. She has been in the Sri Lankan theatre since 1979, with her mother, veteran playwright Somalatha Subhasinghe involved in the theatre for children and youth. Her first prominent role in theatre was Marat Sade directed by a veteran Sri Lankan theatre director in 1986. Her most noteworthy roles were in the plays The House of Bernada Alba, Men without Shadows, Death and the Maiden and Antigone. She has also graced the silver screen with many critically acclaimed roles in the movies Dunhinda Addara, Sanda Dadayama, Boradiya Pokuna, Sulanga Enu Pinisa and Ahasin Wetei among many others for which she has received numerous local and international accolades.
Kaushalya completed her BA in 1992 and a post graduate diploma in English Language Teaching in 1995 from the University of Colombo. She obtained her MA in Drama and Theatre from the University of Sri Jayawardenepura in 2005. Currently she works as a visiting lecturer in Drama and Theatre at several universities in Sri Lanka and conducts her own actor’s training programme at Lanka Children’s and Youth Theatre Foundation in Kotte, Sri Lanka where she a theatre director.
Chandana Aluthge, Ph.D

Chandana’s creative career commenced in 1981 when he joined Somalatha Subasinghe Play House. He became Somalatha Subasinghe’s associate creative director in theatre for children and together initaited the Creative Activities for Children Programme in 1981 to provide the children with sense of basic art forms, social values and culture, self-esteemed while promoting the playfulness and cheerfulness of children through creative work.
The first theatre production by Chandana was Walas Pawla in 2003, the Sinhala adaptation of the fairy tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears which won a number of national awards for stage lighting and choreography. He continues his passion for children’s theatre offering training for primary school teachers on how to use drama for educating children at schools.
By profession, Chandana is a Professor in Economics of University of Colombo Sri Lanka. He obtained his Ph.D. in Finance and Development from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 2001. Chandana also serves as the Principal of Australian College of Business and Technology (ACBT) since 2013.
Anura Silva

Anura Silva is the founder and producer of Ashram Films which was established with the vision of supporting films by the up-and-coming Sri Lankan filmmakers who’d be shaping the next generation. Its first project, Ahasin Wetei, directed by Vimukthi Jayasundara, a co-production between Sri Lanka and France, premiered in competition at the 66th Venice Film Festival. Avilenasului, directed by Chinthana Dharmadasa which was released theatrically in 2020 was its second project.
Anura has been involved in films since 2008 alongside his day job’ as a Human Resources Consultant and Trainer.
Saman Senadheera
Secretory to the Board
Saman is a legal professional serving as a Senior Partner to Capital Law Chambers and Corporate Consultants. He has previously worked as a Legal Advisor and a Company Secretary to several leading commercial establishments. Saman has also been the Chairperson of the Industrial Development Board Sri Lanka and presently involved in the National Vocational Training Authority as a Board Director, the National Authority for the Protection of Victims of Crimes and Witnesses as a Member of the Board of Management and the Anti-doping Disciplinary Commute Sri Lanka as a Panel Member.
Saman obtained his LLB in 1994 from the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo and was admitted to the bar in 1996 as an Attorney-at-Law. He has also completed a Certificate Course in General Management from the University of Singapore in 2001 and a Diploma in Conflict Resolution and Skill Development from the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies in 2005.
Janaka Kumarasinghe
Janaka is senior corporate expert currently serving as the CEO of 1 Billion Technologies. He is also a a Senior Non-Executive Director at Vallible Finance PLC, and holds a directorship at Kent Ridge consultants where he was formerly the Executive Director. He has also held the position of the President of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM).
Janaka has been pivotal in transforming the organizations that he led and is recognized for his role in reintroducing the outward bound training concept to the country. In recognition of his significant contributions to the field of human resource management, Janaka Kumarasinghe was awarded the CIPM Gold Medal in 2009.
Janaka obtained his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Colombo in 1994 and a Master’s degree in Asia- Pacific Human Resource Management from the National University of Singapore in 2000. He has also completed the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) qualification from Australia. Since 2008, he has been a visiting lecturer of University of Moratuwa in their masters programmes.
