Creative Activities for Children (CAC-Prog) Programme – January 2025

The Creative Activities for Children programme will commence its next session on 4th January 2025. Children aged four to twelve are eligible to participate in this engaging and enriching programme.

The primary objective of the programme is to develop children’s mental and physical well-being while enhancing their artistic taste, cheerfulness, and playful sense through aesthetic experiences. This programme serves as an extracurricular learning opportunity that complements the formal education children receive at school.

The programme offers children the chance to learn the basics of enjoying and appreciating music, free movement, dance and rhythmic movement, acting and language, art, singing, puppetry, and handwork.

The sessions are conducted by Prof. Chandana Aluthge and Nilanka Dahanayake, supported by a team of trained artistes. The programme is held on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Battaramulla Lion’s Club Activity Centre, located on Jayanthipura Main Road, Battaramulla.
