(Drama practical sessions for grade 7 to GCE O/L examination)  

Introduction:

The prime objective of the programme is to make drama and theatre learning an enjoyable experience for the participating children. All aspects of drama and theatre are presented to the child in an easy-to-understand way so that the artistic taste, cheerfulness and playful sense of the child is enhanced. The programme is based on created activities, and they give the child the opportunity to experience the most important learning outcomes of drama and theatre such as sense of caring, world awareness, experience in human relationships and socio-cultural values, a sense of basic art forms and more importantly confidence and dignity.  

To Whom:

The programme is designed primarily for grade seven to eleven children who offer drama and theatre as a subject at school. However, since the programme is activity-based any students who has the knack to be creative and adventurous too can join the programme. For such students the activities of the programme can be considered supplementary to the formal education the child obtains in schools. 

Learning Outcome:

This programme gives the child the opportunity to learn and understand the basics of 

1. the origin, the nature and different styles of theatre 
2. different methods of drama acting 
3. free and structured movements as an alternative method of expression
4. music appreciation and singing 
5. Art, handicrafts and puppetry, and 
6. language proficiency. 

Resource Persons:

The programme is conducted by Prof. Chandana Aluthge and Playwright and Actor Nilanka Dahanayake. In addition, artistes/drama teachers who have obtained special training to work with children too are assisting the programme delivery.  

Duration and Time:

The programme has three terms a year from January to March, May to July and September to November. Students can join in any term. Registration of students for the programme is done on first come-first served basis. 

The third term of 2025 is commencing on 6^th September 2025. Programme is held on Saturdays from 11.15 am to 2.00 pm. 

Participating children are kindly requested to bring their food and drinks. Children should be provided with suitable clothing to take part in Creative Activities Sessions.

Fee:

The fee for the programme is Rs. 6500/= per child per term plus a onetime registration fee of Rs. 500/=. Parents are kindly requested to pay the total tuition fee (Rs. 7000/=) in one instalment at registration. 

Venue:

Sessions are held at Battaramulla Lions Club Activity Centre situated in Jayanthipura.

හත් වන ශ්‍රේණියේ සිට අපොස සා/පෙළ දක්වා නාට්‍ය හා රංග කලාව ප‍්‍රයෝගික ක‍්‍රියාකාරකම් පාඨමාලාව : සැප්තැම්බර් 2025

වැඩසටහන පිළිබඳ හැඳින්වීමක්
නාට්‍ය හා රංග කලාව ඉගෙනීම ට සහභාගී වන දරුවන්ට එය ප‍්‍රීතිමත් අත්දැකීමක් බවට පත් කිරීම වැඩසටහනේ මූලික අරමුණයි. නාට්‍ය හා රංග කලාවේ මූලික අංග දරුවාට පහසුවෙන් තේරුම් ගත හැකි අයුරින් ඉදිරිපත් කර ඇති අතර එමඟින් තුලනාත්මක අවබෝධයක් හා ළමුන්ගේ ක‍්‍රීඩාශීලිත්වය, ප‍්‍රබෝධමත්භාවය සහ මූලික කලා ශිල්ප එනම්, සංගීතය, නැටුම්, රංගනය යනාදිය පිළිබඳව ළමුන්ගේ රසඥතාවය වර්ධන කිරීමය.
මෙම වැඩසටහන සමස්තයක් ලෙස කලින් සැලසුම්කරණ ලද ක‍්‍රියාකාරකම් මත පදනම් වන අතර එමගින් ඔවුන් අන්යෝන්‍ය දයාව, ලෝකාවබෝධය, මානව සබඳතා පිළිබඳ අත්දැකීම්, සමාජ-සංස්කෘතික වටිනාකම් සහ මූලික කලා ශිල්ප පිළිබඳ අවබෝධය සහ ආත්මවිශ්වාසය සහ ගෞරවය වැනි නාට්‍ය හා රංග කලාවේ වැදගත්ම ඉගෙනුම් ප‍්‍රතිඵල අත්විඳීමට දරුවාට අවස්ථාව ලබා දෙයි.

කාට ද
මෙම වැඩසටහන මූලික වශයෙන් නිර්මාණය කර ඇත්තේ පාසලේදී නාට්‍ය සහ රංග කලාව විෂයයක් ලෙස හදාරන හත් වන ශ්‍රේණියේ සිට අපොස සා/පෙළ දක්වා ළමුන් සඳහා ය. කෙසේ වෙතත්, වැඩසටහන ක‍්‍රියාකාරකම් මත පදනම් වූවක් බැවින් නිර්මාණශීලී සහ කුතුහලයෙන් යුතු ඕනෑම සිසුවෙකුට වැඩසටහනට සම්බන්ධ විය හැකිය. එවැනි සිසුන් සඳහා මෙම වැඩසටහනේ ක‍්‍රියාකාරකම් දරුවා පාසලේදී ලබා ගන්නා විධිමත් අධ්‍යාපනයට අතිරේකයක් ලෙස ද සැලකිය හැකිය.

ඉගෙනීමේ ප‍්‍රතිපල
මෙම වැඩසටහන සහභාගිවන ළමුන්ට පහතින් දී ඇති මූලික කරුණු ඉගෙන ගැනීමට සහ අවබෝධ කර ගැනීමට අවස්ථාව ලබා දේ

• නාට්ය හා රංගනයේ ආරම්භය, ස්වභාවය සහ විවිධ ශෛලීන්
• නාට්‍ය රංගනයේ විවිධ ක‍්‍රම
• විකල්ප ප‍්‍රකාශන මාධ්ය්‍යක් ලෙස නිදහස් හා ව්‍යුහගත චලනයන්
• සංගීත ය ඇගයීම සහ ගායනය
• චිත‍්‍ර, අත්වැඩ සහ රූකඩ
• භාෂා ප‍්‍රවීණතාවය.

වැඩසටහන මෙහෙයවන්නේ මහාචාර්ය චන්දන අලූ‍ත්ගේ සහ නිලංක දහනායක විසිනි. මීට අමතරව, ළමුන් සමඟ වැඩ කිරීම සඳහා විශේෂ පුහුණුවක් ලබා ඇති කලාකරුවන්/නාට්‍ය ගුරුවරුන් ද වැඩසටහන මෙහෙයවීමට සහාය වේ.

කාලය
වැඩසටහනට වසරකට වාර තුනක් ඇත. එක් වාරයක කාලය සති දොළහකි. සෑම වසරකම පළමු වාරය ජනවාරි සිට මාර්තු දක්වා ද, දෙවන වාරය මැයි සිට ජූලි දක්වා ද තුන්වන වාරය සැප්තැම්බර් සිට නොවැම්බර් දක්වා වේ. 2025 තුන්වන වාරය සැප්තැම්බර් 6 වන දින ආරම්භ වේග වැඩසටහන සති 12 ක කාලයක් (සැප්තැම්බර් 6 වනදා සිට නොවැම්බර් 28 වන දා දක්වා) සෙනසුරාදා දිනවල දී පෙරවරු 11.15 සිට පස්වරු 2.00 දක්වා පවත්වනු ලබයි.

සහභාගි වන දරුවන්ට තම ආහාර පාන රැුගෙන එන ලෙස කාරුණිකව ඉල්ලා සිටිනු ලැබේ. නාට්‍ය සැසිවාරයට සහභාගි වීමට දරුවන්ට සුදුසු ඇඳුම් (වඩාත් ලිහිල් ඇඳුම්) සැපයිය යුතුය.

අයකිරීම
වැඩසටහන සඳහා ගාස්තුව එක් වාරයකට ළමයෙකුට රුග 6500රැුු ක් සහ ලියාපදිංචි කිරීමේ ගාස්තුව රු. 500/- කි. ලියාපදිංචියේදී සම්පූර්ණ ගාස්තුව :රු. 7000/- එක් වාරිකයකින් ගෙවන ලෙස දෙමාපියන්ගෙන් කාරුණිකව ඉල්ලා සිටිමු.
